ABOUT OUR GUEST SPEAKERS
|
Brad Andrews was selected Bar Counsel of the Idaho State Bar in March 2003. He is general counsel to the Board of Commissioners and chief disciplinary counsel. Prior to his service as Bar Counsel, Mr. Andrews was a partner with Jones, Gledhill, Hess, Andrews, Fuhrman, Bradbury & Eiden in Boise. His practice emphasized civil litigation and business transactions. Before entering private practice, Brad was an Idaho Deputy Attorney General and clerked for United States District Judge Harold L. Ryan.

Justice Robyn Brody practiced law for nearly 20 years until her election to the Idaho Supreme Court in November of 2016. After graduating from the University of Denver with a law degree and a master’s degree in international business, she moved to Twin Falls and joined the law firm of Hepworth, Lezamiz & Hohnhorst. She later started her own law firm in Rupert.

Keely Duke has dedicated her career to defending companies, employers, and individuals in complex business litigation and in medical malpractice, legal malpractice, employment, insurance bad faith, and product liability/medical device litigation. Ms. Duke has participated in a number of appeals before the Idaho Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and has served as an arbitrator in a wrongful death case. She is a past IADC Director and President. |

Judge Steven Hippler is a District Judge for Ada County where he handles felony cases and civil cases exceeding $10,000.00. He was appointed by Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter to the new judgeship in the Fourth Judicial District in October 2013. Prior to the appointment, Judge Hippler was a partner at Givens Pursley, LLC, in Boise. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Boise State University and his law degree from University of Utah. A Boise native, he attended Bishop Kelly and has served on the Board of Directors for the Bishop Kelly Foundation. |

Judge N. Randy Smith was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in March 2017. He serves on numerous judicial councils and committees and as Chair of Appellate Judges Conference of the American Bar Association (ABA) and the ABA Judicial Division Ethics Committee. Judge Smith also teaches at Idaho State University, teaching Legal Environment of Business and Business Law. |

Jeff Thomson is a shareholder at Elam & Burke. He has briefed and argued over 30 appeals before the Idaho Supreme Court, Idaho Court of Appeals and 9th Circuit (where he clerked for Judge J. Blaine Anderson). He has been named a Top Rated Lawyer in Appellate Law by Martindale Hubbell and is a recipient of the DRI Exceptional Performance Citation. Mr. Thomson is a past IADC Director and President. |

John C. Trimble is former managing partner and now firm counsel of Lewis Wagner, LLP, in Indianapolis. He is a past President of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana and the Indianapolis Bar Association. Mr. Trimble has served on the Board of DRI and is the immediate past-chair of the DRI Law Practice Management Committee. His practice is devoted to the defense of catastrophic and complex claims in Indiana and around the country in State and Federal Courts and before regulatory agencies. |

Matthew Walters is a shareholder at Elam & Burke and is serving as the Managing Director for the firm. He is currently on the IADC board and holds the office of President-Elect. Mr. Walters practices primarily in the area of civil litigation with an emphasis in employment law, fiduciary/probate disputes and ski industry litigation. |

Our lake cruise was cancelled but the fun will go on! We’ve arranged for a reception and relaxing outdoor barbecue dinner on the scenic Golf Course Patio at Whitetail. KOSH will provide live music. Patio heaters to be provided. Please bring a sweater or jacket for your comfort.
The golf course is approximately five minutes from Shore Lodge. A shuttle will provide convenient transportation to/from the dinner or you’re welcome to drive yourself over.
